Healthy Green Juice – Drink Your Vegetables!

Healthy Green Juice, and it is yummy too!

A year or so ago, my husband bought us a juicer. We have tried several types of blends of fruits and vegetables, but our favorite by far is a simple and healthy green juice. It is a simple recipe and tastes delicious.

  • Spinach – High in antioxidants, rich in minerals such as potassium and magnesium, and vitamins A, B6, B9, C, E, K1, Folic Acid, Iron and Calcium
  • Green Apple – Rich source of Vitamins A & C; Supports hydration
  • Cucumber – Contains Vitamins A, C & K, contains antioxidants and contain a little Calcium and Iron; Supports hydration
  • Cabbage – Contains Vitamins B6, C & K, Folate, Manganese, Calcium, Potassium and Magnesium
  • Raw Ginger – Has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties; Contains Vitamins B3, B6 & C, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Folate, Niacin, Riboflavin, Zinc, Potassium and Iron
  • Celery – Contains Vitamins A, C & K, Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus, and Potassium

I love the ginger as it adds a slight punch of heat to the drink – just like a ginger ale has.

Recipe:

  • Large handful of Spinach
  • 1 Medium Green Apple
  • 1 Medium Cucumber
  • 2 Cups of Cabbage
  • 1 Tablespoon of Raw Ginger
  • 1 Medium stalk of Celery

Directions:

Gather the above ingredients and cut down vegetables to the size that will fit into your juicer. Alter the vegetables when dropping them into your juicer. That’s it – your juice is now made!

This recipe makes about 16 oz. of juice.
