The bridge is at one end of the park and the locks are towards the other end of the park so plan to wear comfortable shoes.

There is a 0.4-mile loop trail, which is an easy walk, and takes about 7 minutes to complete.

The park is very popular with paddle sports, hiking and birding. There is also a lot of boat traffic that goes through the locks and past the bridge.

Dogs are welcome at this park, but they must be on a leash. Don’t forget to ensure your dog stays hydrated with the Sirius Groom Pet Water Bottle.

Don’t forget the bug spray to keep various bugs from ruining your day.

Take care of your skin and apply sunscreen! You will thank me later in life!!
