WHY IT’S AMAZING
You have to love a good competition where the kids and adults are equally engaged with some loud foot stomping, clapping and the screaming of YO-HO. All of that and more can be found at Paula Deen’s Lumberjack Feud Show! Of course, who you cheer for will depend on if you are on the McGraw’s side (Red Team) or the Dawson’s side (Green Team). As you can tell from the title of this post, this is a competition with lumberjacks and lumberjills. The staff does a great job in explaining and performing the various types of jobs in lumberjacking while at the same time making it fun and entertaining.
Within the feud show they perform 13 competitive lumberjack events that include axe throwing, chopping, sawing, speed climbing, log rolling and many other events.
The seating is great as you are under a pavilion with a huge fan that keeps you comfortable in high temperatures – we were there when the temperature that day was 99 degrees, and we were comfortable throughout the entire event. Of course, we were at the 8:00 pm showing.
My favorite thing was the wood carving. I won’t give anything away on this – you just have to go experience it for yourself!
They also have a lumberjack adventure park that is fabulous for kids and adults! They have a zipline roller coaster, log rolling, speed climbing, free fall jumps and a ropes course.

Lumberjack Feud Show Travel Tips:
Check their website before you travel and make arrangements ahead of time as the shows can fill up quickly. You may also be able to get a good discount depending on days, times of showings or any combos they have to offer.
The best place to sit is the middle section in the middle row. You get a great viewing of the full stage and the activities that are going on while both the McGraw and Dawson teams are competing at the same time, but different sides of the stage.
You can take snacks and drinks to the show. There is also an intermission.
It truly is an entertaining show and is as delightful and exciting for the children as much as it is for the adults.
I didn’t ride any of the rides in the adventure park, but it is at the same complex as the show. They have a lot of seating for people like me that want to watch all the kids and adults perform their own lumberjack/lumberjill adventures. My favorite was watching the kids try and perform the log roll.
The show is open year-round, regardless of weather.
If you are going to the adventure park and be out in the sun, please ensure you are utilizing sunscreen so you will not burn!
