This is a great recipe for those that need to relax, receive relief from muscle pain or reduce tension.
Let’s talk about Ginger! This is a spice I truly love and enjoy.
Ginger is brought to us via Southeast Asia thousands of years ago. It comes in many forms such as powdered/ground, fresh, crystalized, dried, candied, and pickled/preserved. This spice was one of the first to be on the spice trade route and made its way to Europe and was sought after for its medicinal properties.
For thousands of years, dried Ginger has been used in Asia for the following medicinal purposes:
- stomach ache
- help fight colds
- nausea
- diarrhea
- rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis
- helps improve skin’s appearance
Recipe:
- 2 Tablespoon fresh grated ginger
- reduces inflammation
- 1 cup Epsom Salt
- soothes aching muscles and reduces tension
- 2 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
- increased collagen, skin brightener
Directions:
- Mix all three ingredients together and place in air-tight container
- Apply scrub to your body and massage for 2 – 3 minutesĀ
- Wipe off scrub
- Perform 2 times per week and can store for up to 1 month
- You can even use any remaining left over scrub to add to your hot bath water – sit and enjoy a nice soak and unwind
I hope you enjoy the Ginger Body Scrub as much as I did! It is a simple recipe that you can create over and over again. This also makes a great Christmas Gift.
